알젠티나 여행 준비

알젠티나를 여행할생각은 전혀 없었다. 그런데 피터친구가 지금 알젠티나 부에노스 아이레스에 교환교수로 가있는데, 그친구가 여행오면 자신이 알젠티나에 저렴하게 여행할수있도록 도와주겠다는둥...그래서 그럼 이번기회에 가보자 그렇게 되었다. 그런데 막상 여행준비를 시작하면서 피터친구 론과 이멜로 이야기하다 보니, 전혀 그런도음을 받을수있는게 아니었다. 이친구가 여행사 에이전트를 소개시켜주었는데, 그여행사 에이전트...내가 원하는여행을 가져오지 못했다. 그래서 괜한 시간만 보름정도 허비한 결과가 되었다. 그후로 시간이 촉박해서 온라인에서 에이전트를 찾아서 예약하기는 했는데...내가 그 보름정도의 시간만 허비 않했더라면, 내가 원하는 여행지로 목적지를 다 맞추어놓을수가 있었는데...그게 아쉽다.

알젠티나는 여행하기에 좋은여건의 나라는 아니다.

가장먼저 세계에서 4번째로 커다란나라인데, 열차가 작동하지 않는다. 그래서 특정한 구간은 민간사업자가 관광용으로 운행하기는 하지만, 전국적인 열차운행 노선은 않된다. 그래서 국내선 항공기로 도시간 이동을 해야하는데...이 국내선 항공사도 민간인업자들이라 작은규모의 항공기이고 매일 운항하는것이 아니다. 그래서 전국적인 항공운행망을 가진것이 아니라, 부에노스아이이레스에서 출발해서 항상 부에노스아이레스로 돌아와서 다른 국내선 항공기로 갈아타야한다. 말하자면 시간낭비 돈낭비 더블로 하는것이다.

아무튼, 이여행을 아무것도 모르고 시작했다가...괜히 알젠티나를 여행지로 선정했다는 후회가 막심하다. 부에노스 아이레스에서는 우리 스스로 여행하고, 친구가 좀 도와주겠지만, 나머지는 여행사에 전적으로 의존한다.

오늘 일끝나고 돌아오면 짐을 싸기 시작해야한다.

October 22nd - Buenos Aires / Mendoza

At appropriate time, you will be taken to the domestic airport to take your flight to Mendoza. Private Service. Pick up time from Callao 194 at 06.00hs am.

Welcome to Mendoza! Argentina’s main wine region and heartland of Malbec grape, has also impressive mountains (like Aconcagua, climbers world known summit), outdoor sports (adventurous rafting) and breathtaking landscapes.

Upon arrival, you will be taken by SAK Wine & Travel, our representative in Mendoza to Argentino Hotel where you will spend 03 nights in 01 double room with breakfast. Private service.

October 23rd - Mendoza: Day at leisure

October 24th - High Mountain Tour

After breakfast, you will have a full day tour at a time indicated by SAK Wine & Travel to the nearby Andes Mountains where you will enjoy some panoramic views and the impressive Mount Aconcagua, the highest peak in the Americas. In summer season, you can also enjoy a nice hike to Quebrada del Durazno at the base of Aconcagua, passing through Horcones Lagoon. Before returning to the hotel late in the afternoon you will visit Uspallata, Penitentes and Puente del Inca (Inca Bridge).

Duration; 10 hours approximately

October 25th - Mendoza / El Calafate

At appropriate time, indicated by SAK Wine & Travel you will be transferred to the airport (private service) to take your flight to El Calafate, connecting in Buenos Aires.

Welcome to Southern Patagonia!

El Calafate is located in the Patagonian steppe, dry and dramatic.

It is on the border of Lago Argentino (Argentina’s biggest lake), considered capital of the glaciers. It is the gate to visit worldwide known Perito Moreno Glacier, one of the only glaciers in the world that is still advancing.

Upon arrival you will be taken by Huellas del Sur, our representative in Calafate, to Solares del Sur Hotel, where you will spend 03 nights in 01 double room with breakfast (shared service) and have the rest of the day to relax or explore the areas around the town or if possible, make the 1km hike out to Laguna Nimez for a beautiful Patagonian sunset.

October 26th - El Calafate: Perito Moreno Glacier

This day you are visiting a National Reserve. Please remember that National Park Fees are not included. Check at the end of your itinerary the corresponding fee, to be paid locally in national currency.

After an early breakfast, at a time indicated by Huellas del Sur you will leave on a full day excursion to Perito Moreno Glacier (shared service), in Los Glaciers National Park. A UNESCO World Heritage site since 1981 and home to one of the most awe inspiring landscapes in Argentina, Perito Moreno Glacier is a site to behold.

During about 1 hour a bilingual guide will provide you with all the information you might want to know, and things you might have never thought about.

On arrival you will have the chance to enjoy stunning views of the glacier from the nearby walking trail and viewing platforms.

But not just that, you will also enjoy the included Perito Moreno Glacier boat cruise that will take you close enough to fully appreciate the 80m high ice walls! In the early evening, you will return to you hotel in Calafate.

Note: For even more adventure, you may want to consider either taking the Big Ice or Mini- Trekking excursion (at an extra cost ). Both allow you to hike on the glacier!! Ask Say Hueque ́s travel advisor for more information, but be sure to let us know in advance because it is highly requested.

 

October 27th - El Calafate

Day at leisure to enjoy any of the optional tours around El Calafate. We suggest a visit to Estancia Cristina, a bike ride out to the lake, or a boat cruise to explore some of the more remote glaciers in the region.

October 28th - El Calafate / Ushuaia – Walk in Penguin Rookery / Visit Harberton Ranch

At appropriate time, indicated by Huellas del Sur you will be transferred to the airport (shared service) to take your flight to Ushuaia.

Remember airport taxes are not included; refer to the end of the itinerary for airport tax fee, to be paid locally at the airport.

This is the southernmost city of the word, surrounded by mountains and facing the Beagle Chanel, this is a place hard to be forgotten.

Upon arrival, you will be transferred by Nunatak, our representative in Ushuaia to Patagonia Jarké Hotel, where you will spend 02 nights in 01 double standard room with breakfast.

Please be ready at Piraturs office at the touristic pier at 14.00hs. This excursion begins at 14.15hs. Nunatak will provide you the tickets for the excursion.

Departing from our office at the tourist dock in Ushuaia, we drive in our modern minibuses towards northeast along Nationals route 3 & J, the legendary road to Estancia Harberton (the first farm on the island, founded in 1886 by the Anglican missionary Thomas Bridges, located 90 Km from Ushuaia, on the Beagle Channel).

We sail from Harberton harbor to Martillo Island, a 15 minute ride on a semi-rigid boat (vessel capable of navigation in the area). on the island, we will walk for 1 hour along Gentoo and Magellanics penguins, always with a guide, experiencing a unique adventure only with us!

During summertime, penguins establish on the island. They share the habitat with other birds, such as skúas (their main predator), petrels, cormorants, vultures and South American terns.

October 29th - Ushuaia: Trekking & Canoeing in the National Park, Patagonia

This day you are visiting a National Reserve. Please remember that National Park Fees are not included. Check at the end of your itinerary the corresponding fee, to be paid locally in national currency.

You will be picked up from your hotel at a time indicated by Nunatak (shared service) and driven towards Tierra del Fuego National Park. once at Ensenada Bay, you will have time to enjoy the view over the Beagle Channel before starting the trekking along the coast.

These six kilometres of wild trail will give you the possibility to watch the native flora and wild fauna of the channel as well as the opportunity to discover old native remains left by the ancient dwellers of the area, the Yamanas. In 3 hours you will reach Roca Lake where lunch will be ready. After a complete homemade picnic you will start canoeing along Lapataia River, which will take you to Lapataia Bay on the Beagle Channel, precisely where the Panamerican Highway and number 3 National Route ends. Return to Ushuaia.

Total duration: 8/10 hours. Trekking: 3 hours Canoeing: 1 1⁄2 hours.

If you prefer a less adventurous option for this day, just let us know and we will change this activity for another one that suits you better (maybe, the Train of the End of the world or a lighter trekking).

October 30th - Ushuaia / Puerto Iguazu

At the appropriate time indicated by Nunatak you will be taken to the domestic airport for your flight to Iguazu Falls.

Remember airport taxes are not included; refer to the end of the itinerary for airport tax fee, to be paid locally at the airport.

Note: If you would like a truly unique experience in Ushuaia, we highly recommend the Magellanic Penguin rookery tour on Martillo Island where you will be able to walk with the penguins.

In this case, you will have to add a day in Ushuaia or change the Beagle Channel Cruise for the Penguin Tour (be sure to take a late flight).

This excursion is available from October to April at an additional cost.

The little and relaxing town is the gate to visit the impressive Iguazu Falls, (which have been recently declared as one of the New Seven Natural Wonders!), making them a must see destination for any traveller visiting Argentina

Upon arrival, you will be met at the airport and provided a private transfer to your hotel. Argecam, our representative in Iguazu will take you to Orquideas Hotel, where you will spend 01 night in 01 double master room with breakfast. You will have the afternoon to relax and enjoy the tropical climate and jungle setting.

October 31st - Iguazu National Park: Argentine Side / Buenos Aires

This day you are visiting a National Reserve. Please remember that National Park Fees are not included. Check at the end of your itinerary the corresponding fee, to be paid locally in national currency.

After breakfast, at a time indicated by Argecam you will depart on a private, full day tour to the Argentine side of the Iguazu Falls where you will have intimate views of this unforgettable section of the Iguazu River. An experienced guide will show you the hidden gems of this unique National Park and will take you off the beaten path to show you the best views.

Lower and upper walkways permit up close and personal experiences with this magnificent spectacle of nature. Trails through the 210 square mile reserve provide visitors with various views of the Falls, especially the largest one, Devil's Throat. The ecological train ride is included in the tour. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon.

Note that in the park there are different excursions you can take for an additional cost. The most popular ones are “Gran Aventura” and it’s shorter version “Aventura Nautica”, in which the Iguazu boat trip takes you right up to the base of the Falls.

This exciting excursion is highly recommended in order to experience the true power of Iguazu Falls. (Please be aware- on the boat trip there is a 100% chance that you will get wet...the Falls provide a refreshing “natural shower”. Be sure to take some extra clothes if you want to do this excursion.)

You don’t need to reserve this excursion in advance (although you can if your want). It has departures every 15 minutes, and you can book it locally).

This day will be a real adventure, full of thrills and spills, and is an absolute must for the adventurer at heart.
